Another chapter begins in

       The story begins about 10 years ago. Louie was finishing college while Mariane was starting her journey through law school. Funny coincidence, Louie was also a sportswriter in the university publication where Mariane used to be one of its photojournalists. But they never crossed paths, it was never just the time....yet. Until one fateful night of 2016, both of them were invited to a birthday celebration of a mutual friend and colleague of that same publication. They were introduced by their good friend, Naomi. Had it not for her, Louie may not have gotten the chance to get to know Mariane more.

Their first date was in a Korean bingsu place, you know those delightful snow ice desserts? Yes, that's the first thing they shared. They exchanged life stories and interests until they ran out of things to talked about. Louie kept the conversation going and randomly asked Mariane if she watches Disney movies. Way to go, Louie! Good thing she said that she loves Disney movies and that they both liked the movie, "Meet the Robinsons". They did not think much of how the first date will go further; they were just curious about one another.

Louie tags along with Mariane's usual library visits to study. Sometimes, he surprises her with a coffee, a sandwich, or just his time and presence while she goes through a mountain of cases. Similarly, Mariane does the same for Louie. She tags along with his sports coverage assignments, basketball game matches, and brings him to her favorite restaurants in Makati. This became their staple; the comfort they found in one another brought them closer. The more they got to know each other, the more they understand that the mundane things they used to do on their own are best enjoyed when you share it with someone.

Fast forward to their 9th year of being together, the night of November 23, 2025. A send-off party was being celebrated together with Mariane's close relatives at their home. The night was ending but apparently, Louie had other plans. He had been carrying the ring he bought since 2024 and the timing was never just right. Turns out, that was the night he will pop the question, "Will you marry me?". Teary eyed and giddy, she teasingly replied with, "Of course! What took you so long?!"

Today, they count the days to officially mark their forever anniversary, November 30, 2026. And they cannot wait to share this day with you.
